Happy, Happy New Year to you all! 2016 was a cool year for Mary and I, what with the establishment of the LipLiner and all.  We’re excited to continue using the site as an outlet for both ourselves, and hope it can continue being a place in which people feel like they can express themselves through their own writing, or feel comforted by the words of others.

As we begin the new year, I wanted to reflect on some stats I’ve gathered from the site about the previous year.  In the six months that TheLipliner has been live, we’ve published 157 posts, and featured 15 contributing writers.  We’ve amassed almost 400 followers across our social media platforms, and had about 5,000 individual viewers look at our site at one point in time.

However, it isn’t the views or numbers that make us happy with the progress we’ve made with the site this year.  Rather, it’s the people who took the time to share a story they liked, or write a story of their own, or those who reached out to let us know how much they were enjoying what we are posting.  It’s because of this that we were able to write so candidly about a myriad of topics: from the silly to the serious, we’ve talked beauty and social media and politics and changing relationships and the importance of self-worth.

As the new year continues, we want to thank you for encouraging us to share our thoughts, feelings, and ideas, as we encourage you to do the same.
