I’ll be honest with you, Dear Reader, I’ve been struggling to come up with posts three times a week as of late. I want to make sure I’m publishing something I’m happy with and proud of, something that people would be interested if they stumbled upon the site for the first time that day.
This is why I often find myself perusing my desktop, seeking out pieces I’ve written throughout my undergraduate career. During this time I had a more regimented editing process, and can confidently say I have four years’ work of writing I can proudly showcase.
Some of my favorite pieces of writing came from simple creative exercises my professor had us do before beginning a new area of creative writing. I’ve always enjoyed having a vague topic assigned to me and being able to modify and center around something more personal. Today’s post is brought to you by a prompt called “color my childhood”, which is as self-explanatory as it seems.
What colors and memories come to your mind when you think about growing up?
